Legacy Ball raises $75,600 with record breaking crowd
The Kossuth Regional Health Center Foundation’s annual Legacy Ball sparkled on Saturday night, with a record-breaking 294 guests and $75,600 raised for the Foundation’s endowment fund.
“We had a tremendous response to the Legacy Ball this year,” said Nancy Grandgenett-Besch, KRHC Foundation Director. “We welcomed a lot of new guests to the event, increased our sponsorships and had a lot of fantastic items on our silent auction, which all played into our overall funds raised.”
Father Cecil Friedmann was the honored guest of the evening, as a longtime supporter of the hospital and former hospital chaplain. During his comments, hospital administrator Scott Curtis spoke about Friedmann’s ties with Kossuth Regional Health in the days when the facility was known as St. Ann’s Hospital, before announcing the upcoming chapel project.
“With Father Friedmann as our honorary chair, it felt like the perfect time to announce KRHC’s plans to go forward with the chapel project,” said hospital administrator Scott Curtis.
