Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program

Early Detection is the Best Prevention

KRHC Community Health offers a breast and cervical cancer detection program for eligible women ages 21 to 64 years of age who are uninsured or under insured. Women who enroll in the Iowa Care for Yourself Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (BCCEDP) will receive the following screening services at no cost:

  • Cervical cancer screenings, including Pap and HPV tests,
  • Breast cancer screenings, including clinical breast exams and mammograms,
  • Diagnostic testing, and 
  • Assistance with making appointments, finding transportation, accommodations for language needs, and other barriers to care.

In addition to these screenings, women enrolled in this program will also receive the following screening services at no cost:

  • Height, weight, blood pressure and Body Mass Index
  • Referral to Iowa Quitline for all smokers

Individuals may qualify if they:

  • Are between 21-64 years of age;
  • Have a monthly income of $2,832 (take home pay) or less; Add $983 for each additional household member.

Screenings include: clinical breast exams, mammograms, pelvic exams, Pap tests, height and weight measurements, blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose tests.
