Breast & Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program

The Iowa Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (BCC) is part of a national program that pays for preventive health screenings for eligible women ages 40-64. No-cost screenings may include; an office visit with your own health care provider, Pap smear, pelvic exam and for many women enrolled in the BCC program, their mammogram and radiology fee are covered. Call Community Health to find out if you qualify for any of these life-saving no-cost screenings.

WISEWOMAN Program (WW)

The WISEWOMAN program (WW) is available for women ages 40-62 that are enrolled in the BCC program and offers many services, all at no cost to participants. This program provides an opportunity for women to discuss their cardiovascular health with their own health care provider.

Women also receive free cholesterol screening and have the opportunity to attend educational sessions on healthy lifestyles. Smoking cessation classes are also offered at no cost. Call Community Health if you are interested in any of these no cost services available through the WW program. New enrollments will be accepted only until December 2006. So call now to enroll.
