Iowa Care for Yourself Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (BCCEDP)

This program is available for eligible women ages 40 to 64 years of age who are uninsured or under insured.  WISE WOMAN program services have been incorporated in the BCCEDP program.  Women who enroll in the BCCEDP program will receive the following screening services at no cost:

  • Office visit with woman's own health care provider, including a breast exam, Pap smear, pelvic exam and mammogram

In addition to these screenings, women enrolled in this program can also receive the following cardiovascular screening services at no cost:

  • Heart disease screening (height, weight, blood pressure and Body Mass Index)
  • Cholesterol blood testing (lipid panel)
  • Fasting blood glucose (test for diabetes)
  • Referral to Iowa Quitline for all smokers
