Community Health - Kossuth Healthy Families
Home visits by community health nurses can help families get off to a good start during pregnancy and/or after the baby is born. A home visit may include:
- Check of weight, height, and look at babies sleep and feeding pattern.
- An assessment of mom and baby to see that they are doing well now that they have been home from the hospital.
- Financial help as a referral source – WIC, Title 19, Care TEAM, food stamps, etc.
- We can make an extra home visit if more is wanted by mom to ensure baby and mom are doing well after delivery.
