Community Health participates in this federally funded program. We receive
all of our vaccine from the State of Iowa as designated by the VFC program.
Because of this participation, we are only able to vaccinate those children
that meet the eligibility guidelines. Other children need to get their
vaccinations at their doctor’s office.
Flu shots
Flu shots are a part of the VFC program. Children who qualify for VFC are encouraged
to get their flu shots immediately by attending a public clinic or by calling
Community Health to arrange for an appointment.
Special purchased flu shots are available for all other children at public
clinics or by calling Community Health to arrange an appointment. There is
a cost of $25.00 for this vaccine.
