Kossuth Regional Health Center Auxiliary
What is the Kossuth Regional Health Center Auxiliary?
The mission of the Kossuth Regional Health Center Auxiliary is to promote and
advance Kossuth Regional Health Center through service to KRHC’s patients,
promotion of the health of the community and raising funds for special projects,
equipment and programs
Helping
the community
Not every member of the Auxiliary is alike. Each person has different interests
and skills; they all contribute to the Auxiliary and the community in their
own unique way.
Some members help by painting or decorating areas of the hospital. Others
help with special events like the Festival of Trees or the Garden Tour.
Some members enjoy assisting patients and visitors at the admissions
desk of KRHC.
Check out our list of volunteer opportunities and see which ones best
fit your interests and schedule. If you enjoy being involved and helping
others in your community, the KRHC Auxiliary might be for you!

Ongoing Auxiliary projects
- AUXILIARY GIFT SHOP - The gift shop is coordinated
and staffed by Auxiliary members and high school volunteers. It offers
a wide variety of gifts, cards, and holiday items.
- DINE WITH FLAIR - Dine with Flair began in the
spring of 2005 as a special project fundraiser. Hostesses plan and
decorate a table according to a theme, then invite eight people to
enjoy a delicious brunch served by Auxiliary members.
- FESTIVAL OF TREES - Organizations and individuals
decorate themed holiday trees and wreaths, which are then sold at a
silent auction.
- GARDEN TOUR - This annual tour highlights gardens
in the Algona area.
LIFELINE -
The Auxiliary coordinates this easy-to-use personal response service
that ensures older adults living at home a quick response whenever
help is needed, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- PEDIATRIC ORIENTATION DAYS - This program introduces
first grade children in Kossuth County to the hospital.
- TAG DAY - This annual event is typically held during
National Hospital Week in the spring. Members use this day to collect
funds for the Auxiliary’s project of the year.
